"VICTORIA CENTRE "

I went into the 3 store (Victoria Centre) to purchase a phone charger as the one they sold to me less than six weeks ago,had failed.

I was told that they couldn't exchange it and in very rude manner, that there was nothing that could be done.

The young man (boy) who spoke to me - as I would not use the word ' served' - was very gruff and off-handed! I then asked to speak to the manager. I was not happy with the poor standard of 'service' I had received. I was told that I didn't need to see him as he had nothing to do with it!! What??! My concerns at that time lay in speaking to the person in charge.

Then I asked for his name. "You don't his name," he said. "I've gav ya mine and told you that we can't do anything for ya!" He refused to give me any further details about the store - address, telephone number.

Since when would you expect to ask to speak to the manager/ess and not be at least provided with a name??!

I was almost 'shooed' out of the store at that point, in a rather sarcastic fashion.

Then, as I was about to leave 3 altogether and go to another network, I spotted the 3-Store on the bottom corner of Clumber Street, opposite the council building. And, I am so glad that I did! What a 180 degree turn around in service!! The assistant who served me was attentive, listened and by the time I had left the store, I had upgraded my phone (to a pricier brand) , renewed a contract, and still decided to buy a charger!! lol

All, I can say is, thanks guys! Maybe you could pass on a few customer care lessons to the young chappie (with the bad attitude) in your sister store???!!

And to the Manager that I was not allowed to speak with - well, consider the loss in sales if this is low standard you set.. RATINGS IN THE LONG ROW STORE EXCELLENT!!.
