A review of The Hearing Services by Polly written on Wednesday 8th of March 2017
I had never had trouble with the Ropewalk before but there had been a change of equipment I think.
I may have sensitive ears but I have had a hearing problem for many years and have never experienced the same discomfort/pain that I did last time I went for a hearing test. I asked if they had any other head phones but they said not and said that as I had booked there and attended I would have trouble booking with another clinic.
I was very annoyed that I was unable to take the test. Who designs and trials these things? They were not prepared to help me organise anything else and I would be surprised if it was fed back to the management.
I haven't been since. It was over a year, but it was a bad experience.
I will try booking again with a different clinic and hopefully they will have had some other feedback about the head phones and can provide a better experience. Had I taken the test on that day the results would have had little meaning..
